We've had some questions posed to us, plus we've come up with some we expect are on your mind as you make plans to attend the International Women Riders Congress and Festival. Where is Deerhurst Resort?
Deerhurst Resort is in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada – approximately 3 hours north of Toronto in the heart of some of Ontario's finest roads and picturesque riding. See our directions page for more location information.

How do I get there?
Deerhurst is readily accessible from all directions. The distances above reflect the most direct route that may involve major highways. In the coming months, we will be posting alternative routes following paved secondary routes through some of Ontario's scenic countryside.

How do I register for the Congress?
Visit the IWCF Registration page to view the registration fee schedule and determine which category of membership applies to you.
To obtain the Member rate, join the MCC first (MCC Membership). If you are not sure of your membership status, contact our office. U.S. residents who are members of the AMA also benefit from reduced registration fees (join the AMA: www.ama-cycle.org/join/index.asp)
Then, either download a registration form to be mailed/faxed to the MCC Office, or simply proceed to the appropriate section to instantly and securely register on-line.
How do I become an MCC member in order to access the preferred registration rates?
Directions for how to join can be found on the Registration Page.
We have now introduced an even greater benefit that your group members can enjoy by belonging to MCC – whether your organization is based in Canada or the US. If your organization is international, membership rates will be based on the number of Canadian members but ALL members can enjoy reduced event registration fees.
What is included in the Congress registration fee?
- Opening Ceremonies, Beach BBQ & Entertainment
- Entrance to conference activities – i.e. workshops, seminars, demo rides
- Closing Ceremonies, Dinner, Entertainment
- Congress and Festival DVD with photographs
- Motrcycle Touring routes for use before or after the event
- Conference room rates at Deerhurst Resort, 3 days before and after event (depending on availability)

What type of activities will be held?
We have put together an action-packed program that we know you will enjoy and will enable you to make the most of your visit – from start to finish. Best of all, there is lots of choice and still time to ride and network.
The IWCF will be educational and festive – featuring networking opportunities, organized tours, educational programs, maintenance workshops, safety programs, a charity trail ride, skills challenges, demo rides and entertainment. Read more about IWCF Program Activities.
How do I make a hotel reservation?
Contact Deerhurst's Reservations Department at 1-800-461-4393. Let them know you are attending the IWCF to get the preferred rate we have negotiated.
Please read the booking information on our accommodations page prior to making your reservation.
Alternate accommodations are also available nearby. August is prime vacation season, so book early.
Is camping available nearby?
There are two fabulous Provincial Parks – both with outstanding camping facilities. Arrowhead Provincial Park is the closest; world famous Algonquin Park has numerous campsites along the Highway 60 corridor – approximately 1 hour beautiful ride. You will need to make reservations - www.ontarioparks.com at either location.
What amenities are available in the vicinity?
Lots. Deerhurst is located in the heart of one of the most popular tourist destinations in Ontario. Check out the on-site activities www.deerhurstresort.com/activities.html. You can even take a virtual tour or have an aerial view of the property.

Can I bring my spouse or other male participants?
Yes. Our theme is One World, One Ride. Subsequently, we are welcoming riders who are men, women, ages from teens to teens at heart and from all disciplines of riding.
What type of security will be provided onsite?
The resort has its own Security team who patrol the grounds regularly.
Is there access to medical care at the resort? / in the community?
Huntsville District Memorial Hospital – 15 minutes from Deerhurst – is a 76-bed community hospital with a 24-hour Emergency Department.
If you are visiting from outside of Ontario, check to make sure that your health care insurance provides you with out-of-province or out-of-country coverage.
Are there motorcycle (mechanical) services available in the vicinity?
A list of the nearest service areas will be posted prior to the event.
Will I be able to rent a motorcycle?
Harley-Davidson motorcycles will be available for rent from The Shop - www.theshop.ca in Sudbury. Make your reservation now!
Do I need a passport?
Yes. Visitors arriving from outside of Canada will need a valid passport or Nexus card (US) to gain entry into Canada and then again to return to your home country.
If you haven't already done so, apply now. The application process can be backlogged and it may take more time than you expect.
