International Women Riders Congress and Festival

August 11 - 15, 2010 - Deerhurst Resort, Huntsville Ontario Canada

What people are saying!

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) is pleased to endorse the 2010 International Women Riders Congress and Festival (IWCF), hosted by the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC). As host of the International Street Party at the 2009 AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference in Keystone, CO, the Women Riders’ Council of the MCC was a significant contributor to the overall success of the event. Women motorcyclists are a vibrant and surging segment of modern motorcycling, and all interested riders should attend this dynamic gathering at the Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario.

Tigra Tsujikawa, Special Events Manager
American Motorcyclist Association (AMA)

Motorcycle & Moped Industry of Canada (MMIC-CIMC) The Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC) has been very successful in uniting motorcyclists across the country through its national initiatives. Whether on-road riders, off-road riders or competition riders, MCC has built a solid foundation in all disciplines both nationally and more and more internationally. The motorcycle industry in Canada strongly supports the MCC's International Women Riders Congress & Festival and the MCC's continue growth and recognition as the voice of Canadian motorcyclists in Canada and internationally.

Robert Ramsay, President, MMIC and COHV
Motorcycle & Moped Industry of Canada (MMIC/CIMC)

Federation of European Motorcyclists Associations (FEMA) FEMA is pleased to salute the first International Women Riders Congress and Festival to be held in Canada. As a woman, I cannot help but support an event which, for sure, is going to provide a new insight on motorcycling opportunities. Women represent an ever-growing proportion of motorcyclists on our roads a positive trend giving an even more positive message regarding the future of motorcycling in our societies.

Aline Delhaye, General Secretary
Federation of European Motorcyclists Associations (FEMA)

Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) As a female rider, I am excited to see the first International Women Riders Congress and Festival take place in Ontario, Canada in August. The camaraderie that is shared between women at these events is unbelievable. As a female motorcycle Instructor and member of the Board of Directors of a U.S. motorcycle rights organization, I cannot think of a better place to meet women of similar dreams, share experiences, and network in all things motorcycle related. This will be a great learning opportunity for all who attend ... not to mention, it is hard to beat Ontario in August!

Carol Downs, Conference Director
Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF)

Women in the Wind (WITW) I was very excited to learn about the MCC event being held in Ontario. I am sure it will be successful and inspiring for all participants. Its central location should be a great ride for both USA & Canadian riders. I will be encouraging all Women In The Wind members to attend - especially the members of our 10 Canadian chapters.

Becky Brown, Founder
Women in the Wind (WITW)

Durham Divas I attended the last two AMA women's conferences in the States and I am thrilled that MCC is launching an event of this magnitude in Canada. The program looks like it will be packed with workshops, seminars, demo rides and guided trips. I will watch for updates on your website. I am definitely making plans to attend and will be recommending this event to our 49 local women riders.

Karen Carroll, President
Durham Divas

Motor Maids What an excellent opportunity to unite the women's riding community and promote motorcycling interest locally with a national venue. The Motor Maids, the oldest women's motorcycling organization, is pleased to participate in Canada’s first International Women Riders Congress & Festival, this year. The Eastern Canada Motor Maids look forward to meeting our sisters with a passion for riding. You will love our magnificient roads and scenery!

Dora C. Cook, District Director
Eastern Canada Motor Maids

Womens Motorcyclist Foundation Inc The Women's Motorcyclist Foundation, Inc. is proud to endorse and support the upcoming International Women Riders Congress and Festival to be hosted by the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada. WMF, Inc. partnered with the American Motorcyclist Association on its 2009 International Women and Motorcycling Conference hosted in August of 2009 in Keystone, Colorado. In doing so, WMF, Inc. witnessed the tremendous contributions made to this event by M.C.C. Wishing to return MCC kindness and continue the growth of women in motorcycling, WMF, Inc. looks forward to attending and supporting MCC's event in August of 2010.

Gin Shear, Executive Director | Sue Slate, National Programs Chair
Women's Motorcyclist Foundation, Inc.

The Womens International Motorcycle Association USA (WIMA USA) The Women's International Motorcycle Association USA (WIMA USA) sends warm wishes and best of luck to the MCC and their first International Women Riders Congress & Festival. As participants in past AMA International Women and Motorcycling Conferences in the US, we know what an important step this is for our Canadian 2-wheeled sisters. Nothing is more exhilarating than joining other women riders to learn, share and celebrate our sport. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to make history in women’s motorcycling, you won't be disappointed!

Alice Sexton, President
WIMA USA

Australian Motorcycle Council (AMC) The Australian Motorcycle Council (AMC) congratulates the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC) and its many partners on presenting the International Women Riders Congress and Festival (IWCF) in Ontario. The theme of "One World, One Ride" reinforces the idea that motorcyclists share a common bond regardless of their origin, their occupation, or what motorcycle they ride. Over the past decade, Australia, too, has seen a significant increase in the number of female motorcycle licence holders and motorcycle owners. We anticipate the Congress will produce exciting outcomes to assist in the promotion of motorcycling to this ever-increasing number of women riders.

Lorrie Hemming, Secretary
Australian Motorcycle Council Inc. (AMC)
